RAR Charitable Trust is dedicated to improving the lives of physically challenged and socially disadvantaged people. We aim to help and support people who are often perceived as being disadvantaged. Disadvantaged through either disability or social difficulties.
We live in a world where everyone is encouraged to improve themselves and achieve. Very soon we discover that it is not always possible. People should be treated equally and have the same opportunities and encouragement in life to help them develop as an individual and reach their full potential.
One of our key aims is the inclusion of all people, irrespective of social status, ability, disability, ethnic grouping or religious belief in society. It is all too easy to write off someone because they may not be socially acceptable or fit into the general conception of how someone should look or act.
RAR seeks to involve people with a disABILITY in all aspects of its work, promoting the value and significance of each person as an individual, encouraging them to take an active role in decision-making and future service planning. It also provides opportunities which will ENABLE them to serve their local community in positive and practical ways.
